We are hosting a Pink Sports Day in support of Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA). Thank you for getting involved in our fundraising and helping BCNA to inform, support, connect and represent all Australians affected by breast cancer.
The Club is asking all members to purchase Pink Day Socks and Pink Caps through our online Store.
We are also asking all members to donate directly to BCNA in support of this wonderful cause via https://Wests.Link/PinkDay
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian women with one in seven diagnosed in their lifetime. Over 20,000 women are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year as well as over 170 men. Your support will help these women, men and families to not go through their journey alone.
I think it fair to say that many within our baseball community have been affected by cancer,either directly, or through persons known to us.
Wests is no different.
We look to give back where we can. Last year we held our first Pink day where we supported BCNA (Breast Cancer Network Australia). We are supporting this wonderful organisation again.
Your support of this organisation is requested by Wests through purchases and or donations on the Saturday and or Sunday.
On Saturday- We will be shaking the tins, selling raffle tickets, as well as having some items for sale that will contribute to our target. The first game is at 8am with the last game commencing at 1pm
On Sunday – We will be holding a lady’s luncheon at the clubhouse between 11 and 1. There will be raffles and our major prize ( a custom made fire pit) will be won by a lucky winner. Our first game commences at 8.30am with our Divsiion 1 team commencing at 2pm
First pitch before Div 1 will be thrown by a breast cancer survivor.
